Students map out career paths in land surveying

Survey Group Manager Michael Manthei, P.S., and Survey Technician Marissa Brock demonstrated the art and science of land surveying today to students at the Annual Skilled Trades and Public Safety Career Fair held at Woodhaven High School. Hundreds of students met with professionals representing various construction trades.

The event was hosted by the Downriver Career Technical Consortium. The consortium shares resources and serves the districts of Airport, Flat Rock, Gibraltar, Grosse Ile, Huron, Riverview, Southgate, Trenton, and Woodhaven-Brownstown. It provides students with Career and Technical Education classes.

Hennessey Engineers strongly believes in supporting career and technical training opportunities for students by allowing staff to attend career fairs at the high school and university levels, providing summer internship opportunities, and raising funds for career and technical education through the Robert and Christine Chiles Foundation.
