Harding retires; says, “farewell”

Dear Colleagues,

Today marks a significant milestone for me—exactly 36 years to the day since I began my career as a Transportation Engineer. It is also the day I retire from this profession.

Over the past three and a half decades, I have had the privilege of working with so many outstanding colleagues, clients, and friends. Together, we have solved problems, delivered projects, and occasionally even agreed on a traffic concept 😊. The many challenges we faced, the solutions we developed, and the relationships we built along the way have made this an incredibly meaningful career.  I am deeply grateful to the many colleagues, clients, and friends who have shared this journey with me.  It has been an honor and a pleasure to work alongside you, and I look back with great pride in all we accomplished together.  Thank you!

I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to my colleagues Annette, Susan, and Dan for putting up with me for over 25 years, and to Hennessey Engineers for believing in me and the wonderful team at Access Engineering. Their confidence in our team and their decision to acquire our firm created opportunities that exceeded anything I could have imagined and allowed me to conclude my career as part of an exceptional organization.  To Joan Hennessey and John Hennessey, I am deeply appreciative of your trust, support, and partnership.  I can leave knowing the projects I have been part of are in excellent hands.

Going forward, please reach out to Annette Stroman at amstroman@hengineers.com and/or Susan Melcher at smmelcher@hengineers.com for all your Hennessey project needs.

As I enter retirement, I look forward to a future with fewer deadlines, fewer emails, and significantly fewer conversations that begin with, “We have a problem…” I plan to spend more time with family and friends, pursue interests that have been waiting patiently for my attention, and see if I can successfully navigate life without a project schedule, a red pen, and a deadline.

Wishing you all smooth roads, no delays, and projects that come in under budget.

Best regards,

Liz
