Holbrook Avenue Reconstruction

The Holbrook Avenue Reconstruction Roadway and Water Main Project presented numerous challenges, requiring extensive knowledge of Wayne County and its existing infrastructure.

Among the challenges, most homes required in-street parking along the roadway where construction took place. Complicating matters further, a senior living plaza and a commercial building needing continuous access were located on the site. Extra caution was also needed due to a building abutting the existing right-of-way.

In addition, the presence of an old pedestrian tunnel underneath the roadway required excessive caution to remove and install new utilities properly.
