Construction Inspection Technician

We are looking for a talented Construction Inspection Technician to support the Construction Engineering and Materials Testing Division of our multi-discipline civil engineering firm. Our team focuses on managing infrastructure improvement projects and maintenance programs for cities and townships in Southeast Michigan.

Position Description & Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in QA/QC testing for inspecting roads, watermains, sewer mains, and stormwater sewer systems. They will maintain daily reports, measure, calculate quantities to ensure compliance with contract documents. This position requires someone who excels at communication, collaboration, problem solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution. They must conduct themselves in a professional manner and represent Hennessey Engineers well with clients.

Qualifications Summary

• High school diploma
• Valid driver’s license
• Superior communication abilities. Must be able to communicate with clients, citizens, and Hennessey staff clearly, promptly, and efficiently.

Preferred Certifications include: ACI/MCA Concrete Testing Technician, Density, Nuclear Gauge Operations Certificate, MDOT Density, MDOT Certified Aggregate.
