We realize that many of our clients have desireable addresses within the Southeastern Michigan housing market and are subsequently pressured for continued expansion.  It is critical that a balance is achieved between development and expansion of utilities.  We have seen this problem with similar clients and have arrived at ways that ensure that development pays for development.

 

For example, a recent sanitary sewer study identified $12 million in sanitary sewer lift station improvements that have to be performed to accommodate the build out of a certain community.  This resulted in the community increasing tap fees to $11,000 per residential until for the water and sewer.
